It’s been a while since I’ve shared anything, and I’m sorry! We’ve been making a lot of progress, but most of our studio sessions have been of the less-than-entertaining variety (a lot of staring at computer screens, listening to the same few seconds of audio over and over again listening for frequency issues) and there wasn’t much to share.
That said, we have managed to lay down basic tracks for all of the songs, and I’ll be sharing some video of that soon.
But today, I wanted to share a very rough version of the cover artwork. Chieh Tzu is an artist based in Taiwan who I met via Instagram, and I fell in love with her work. She did several custom pieces that will grace the CD, and this is the one that I chose for the cover.
To me, the shapes are very organic, and somehow very familiar and welcoming – they seem to echo the “safety” concept of the album, along with the liveliness and diversity among the songs. I knew right away this is what I wanted.
The colors and background will be adjusted, but this basic image will be the cover. Would love to hear what you think!
More soon!
